Biography
Emanuil A. Vidinski
1978Emanuil A.Vidinsky is a Bulgarian writer, poet, publisher and musician. His works, originally published in Bulgaria, include the collection of short stories Kartografii na biagstvoto ('Cartographies of Escape' 2015) and the short story Egon i tishinata ('Egon and the Silence', 2015) as well as the novel Mesta za dishane ('Places to Breathe', 2008).
He was the editor of the Bulgarian newspaper Literaturen vestnik, publisher of the edition Svetovni romani, editor at the Altera publishing house, radio journalist for the Bulgarian editorial board of the German international broadcaster Deutsche Welle in Bonn and editor-in-chief of the Panorama publishing house in Sofia.
In 2004 as singer and guitarist, he and the poets Petar Tchouhov and Ivan Hristov formed the ethno-rock poetry band 'Gologan'.
His literary works have been translated into English, German, Hungarian, Croation and Spanish. The book of poems, Par Avion, featuring work from Vidinski, was translated from Bulgarian into German by Petya Lund and published by eta verlag in Berlin (2017).
